The Hobbit

We just finished the chapter "Riddles in the Dark".

When Arriana heard me read the part about Gollum calling The Ring: "My precious" (I tried my best gollum voice, too...) she said "Bilbo should give it back. He stole it." We had a long discussion about whether what Bilbo did was right or not. Interesting "grey area" discussion. We talked also about The Ring saving Bilbo's life and how Gollum most likely would have eaten Bilbo. Was rather fascinating to have such an in depth conversation with a six year old.
